Robots Versus Humans

About

Robots Versus Humans and Humans Versus Robots are one newsroom under two names. The same AI news, every day, ordered from opposite ends — and the order is the whole argument.

  • Rebuilt every three hours, from 17 sources: the sites the industry actually reads, each shown with its own favicon so you can see where a story came from before you click it.
  • Six write-ups of one announcement count as one story. The rest of the coverage is listed under it instead of taking six more places on the page.
  • The point is to pull the gloom and the boom apart. The accelerationists and the doomers have been reading one feed and arguing over it for years; here they each get their own front page, built from exactly the same day.
  • Nothing is held back from either side to make the point, which is why the two can be read side by side without either of them losing the argument.
  • None of the reporting is ours. Every headline links straight to the publisher who wrote it; what is kept here is a title, a short excerpt, a picture and a link.
  • The day is also a feed, if you would rather read it somewhere else.

A site we should be reading and are not? Any tips? Please share!

Support

There are no ads here and nothing is sponsored, and that is a decision rather than a stage we have not reached yet. What the site costs is a server and the reading pass that goes through every story and writes the summaries — which is metered by the day, and is why the page is rebuilt every three hours instead of every one. Support keeps the first of those true and shortens the second.
